Our Gadget
Every Vespa club has one. Here's the story behind ours.
The Gear
A nod to the mechanical heritage of the Vespa and the global community of riders who appreciate what's under the cowl. The ring also honors the piston ring at the heart of every Vespa engine.
Presque Isle
The map is Presque Isle State Park — a 3,200-acre peninsula on Lake Erie and one of our favorite rides. Its loop road is perfect for continuous cruising at low speeds with lake views the entire way.
The Keystone
Pennsylvania's official state symbol sits below the headlight where the badge goes. The state earned the nickname "The Keystone State" for its central role among the original 13 colonies. Erie is the commonwealth's only Great Lakes port.
The Bees
"Vespa" is Italian for wasp. The name Enrico Piaggio gave the scooter in 1946 when he first saw the prototype designed by Corradino D'Ascanio. The bees on our gadget honor that heritage.
Orange Vespa
Finished in Arancio Impulsivo, one of the best Vespa colors, and the color of the chapter founder's GTS Super Sport.
2026
The year Vespa Club of Erie was founded. Every gadget carries its chapter's founding year.
Gadget designed by Mike Prather of Prather Studios, Millcreek, PA.
